This album is a dream come true. It is born out of my love for singing and touching people’s hearts through my music. Because when you sing from your heart, magic happens and people’s lives improve for the better.

I come from a humble background in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia that has 42 million people. Even though the chances of having my own album were almost zero, I’ve always believed that with passion, hard work and perseverance anything is possible. And here I am publishing it!

This album represents the story of my life in jazz with:

・A bit of gypsy jazz reflects my musical beginning inspired by Indonesia’s street musicians.
・A bit of swing represents my move to Cambodia and the musicians here who taught it to me.
・A bit of ballad that helped me go through the hard times.
・A bit of cheeky and funny songs representing my personality.

The silver lining that ties it all together is that jazz is freedom with no borders or limitations. I’m free to mix different genres, and I put my heart and soul into each song.

For me, jazz is the way of life. As we do things, improvise, sing, play, love and learn every day.
